GF-Twin Tube Rig (1 plate with 4 clamps)
The GF-Twin Tube Rig is a quick and very solid offset made from two tubes you already have on set — any 48.3 mm scaffold or speedrail tube. Four clamps hold the plate on the tubes and slide along them, and the centre of the plate takes the full range of GFM adapters: the same plate either connects to a base — dolly, tripod or bazooka — or carries the camera.
One plate is one end of a rig. A full offset normally uses two: the lower plate with a connecting mount, the upper one with a camera mount. Each plate takes one insert, chosen with the rig; the tubes are not included. Machined and assembled in Germany by Grip Factory Munich.
One bore, the whole range
The centre of the plate is an open bore that takes a GFM insert: a bowl for a fluid head, a Mitchell plate, a Euro adapter, a cheese plate. Changing what the plate carries means changing one part, not the rig.
The same plate, turned over
Seen from below, the same bore holds the mounts that connect downwards: a male Mitchell to drop into a Mitchell receiver, or a female Euro clamp to take a Euro post. That is what makes a plate either end of the rig — nothing about it is dedicated to top or bottom.
Two plates make the offset
One plate is one end. A full offset runs two of them on the same pair of tubes: the lower plate connects to the base, the upper one carries the camera, and the distance between them is set by where the clamps sit. Both plates are ordered with the rig, each with its own insert.
