Designed and built by hand.
GFM was founded in 1999 just north of Munich, and the way it works has not changed since. We design and engineer our systems in-house, then build, assemble and test them in our own workshop. The people who put a dolly together are the ones who hear about it when it comes back.
In over 25 years we have grown to more than 20 people and stayed family-owned; the second generation now runs the day-to-day alongside the founders. The bench work is still done by hand.
Made in Germany means this building.
An in-house CNC park.
We machine aluminium, steel and composite parts in our own CNC park in Munich, from small adapters up to heavy crane sub-assemblies.
Welding to TÜV-audited standards.
Our welders are certified to DIN EN ISO 9606 for safety-critical joints. Structural assemblies are welded and inspected in-house before they leave the bench.
Assembled and tested by hand.
Finished systems are assembled and run through a full payload test on our bench before crating. We don’t ship anything we haven’t balanced ourselves.
Parts on the shelf for years.
We keep our systems serviceable for the long run: replacement counterweights, bearings, cables and hydraulic seals stay on the shelf well after a production run ends.
Three decades of sets, and the posters to show for it.
Our dollies and cranes have been on more features, series and commercials than fit on one wall. A selection below.
