GF-Kit Dolly
The GF-Kit Dolly is the base dolly — four Combi Wheel Units, a rotatable base plate and telescopic steering rod. The dolly steers front, rear or crab from any of four positions. It is the cost-effective entry into the GFM dolly system, without the electric column.
The Kit Dolly adapts to the job. Add seats and a bazooka for up to two operators, run it as a jib base, or put it on 62 cm track. The wheel arms adjust independently from standard to 36 cm narrow gauge, without removing anything from the dolly. The electric column can be added at any time — turning the Kit Dolly into a GF-Column Dolly.

Front, rear and crab
The Kit Dolly steers in three modes: front, rear and crab. In front and rear mode, the wheels turn in parallel — there is no steering geometry. The mode is set by turning the lever on each wheel arm to engage or lock the unit.
The operator can steer from any of four positions along the base. And unlike any other dolly on the market, the dolly can be steered from a locked wheel unit — so the dolly grip is never limited to one end of the chassis. The optional Steer-Out Extension (40 cm) quickly creates a central steering position or lets the grip adjust freely beyond the four fixed positions.
Standard and narrow track gauge
The four wheel arm units are independently adjustable. With all arms at 45°, the track gauge is 62 cm. Each arm can be swung in individually, bringing the dolly down to 36 cm narrow gauge — tight enough for the smallest sets and tightest doorways. The adjustment is made without removing the camera package or anything else from the dolly.
Combi Wheel Unit — track and studio in one
Each GFM Combi Wheel Unit combines two soft studio wheels and two soft Vulkollan® track wheels in a single housing. One brake lever engages the brake for both track and studio wheels simultaneously.
Using a starter ramp, the dolly rolls directly from studio floor onto dolly track — no tools, no wheel changes. Alternative wheel options are available: pneumatic wheels, hard studio wheels and Big Wheels.
Rotatable base plate
The Kit Dolly comes with a rotatable XXL bearing at its centre. It turns the base plate — and anything on it — without moving the chassis.
One base plate, multiple mounting options
The base plate is secured with four knurled screws and accepts a range of adapters — Mitchell, Euro or turnstile mount — depending on which setup goes on top.
Dimensions
On standard gauge the dolly is 89.9 cm long and 79.4 cm wide, running on 62 cm track. In narrow mode it closes to 53.5 cm wide and extends to 101 cm long. The chassis height is 38.6 cm.
