Jib Set for Modulus-X®

The Jib Set turns your Modulus-X® parts into a jib. It supplies the mechanics — nose bracket, parallelogram rope, centre part, counterweight rod and balance weight — while the arm and the column come from your own spans. Reach and build are your responsibility.

Quick to build is not the same as built down. The Jib Set is held to the same standard as the rest of the range: high-grade aluminium, hard-anodized all over, stainless steel for shafts and threads, and the pivot on proper bearings rather than plain bushings.

The set is five pieces. The nose bracket ends in a Mitchell mount and carries the parallelogram connector, which holds the head level through the whole arc. The parallelogram rope is Dyneema (stronger than steel at the same weight, and it barely stretches — the head keeps its level as the arm loads up) and tensions with a turnbuckle. The centre part is the pivot and carries three separate levers: a tilt brake to lock the arm, a pan brake for the rotation, and friction to set the feel of the move. The counterweight rod carries the counterweights at the tail. The balance weight is a piece of its own — machined, with a safety lanyard and threads on the Modulus-X® grid, so it bolts on anywhere along the arm where the build needs trimming.

The nose bracket is not fixed to one way of working. The head can be mounted overslung or underslung, and the bracket can also be assembled in Nose / Matrix Mode, using risers for GFM inserts and a Mitchell plate.

The centre part mounts on a Euro adapter, or on Mitchell with the Euro Adapter to Mitchell plate (AL-2384).
